Aquaculture Engineer from the University of Los Lagos, graduated in Business Management from the Southern University of Chile, Master in Environmental Management from the University of Santiago, Chile. Mr. Miranda started his working career in 1987, in Marine Harvest Chile, where he was trained in Scotland.
He worked in Chile as a Planning Manager, Quality Manager, Genetics and Reproduction Manager, and Technical Manager. In 1999, he started working for AquaChile as a technical manager, where he was responsible for the nutrition and quality of fish, quality securing, feeding control and strategies, environmental administration, fresh water and seawater planning, and research and development. Since 2005 he has worked as a consultant for the filial company Rain Forest Aquaculture, which specializes in the tilapia farming.

Civil Industrial Engineer specialized in Chemical Processes from the Federico Santa María Technical University.
She stood out as a student in Los Lagos Region and after she graduated in Valparaíso she moved back to the region to work in the biotechnology area in Aquainnovo.

Biochemist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile (PUCV) with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Chile. She has 2 research stays; (1) Development Biology and (2) Genetic Improvement of salmonid species.
She started working as a professor at the PUCV where she taught and coordinated the subject of Analitic Chemistry. Between 1996 and 1997 she worked as a researcher before starting her post degree studies in 1998. She obtained her post degree in 2004. She worked as a main researcher in a Fondecyt project between 2004 and 2006. She did her second research stay in 2007. During all this period she worked as a professor in the areas of biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, cell and systems physiology, and genetics, both in undergraduate and graduate programs.
In 2009 she started working as a Laboratory Unit Manager for Aquainnovo. She is in charge of coordinating the Diagnostic Laboratory and the R&D area, which have the objective of developing high standard techniques according to the Chilean standard NCh ISO 17025 and standards set by SERNAPESCA—the sanitary authority. In addition, these areas develop research projects and work as external consultants, besides writing scientific articles and making presentations for conferences. María Eugenia Cabrejos also works as an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences in the University of Chile.

Consultant for international organizations in the area of genetics and improvement of aquaculture species: UNECLAC, Santiago, Chile; FAO – ICLARM, Milan, Italy; World Fish Center, Malaysia; FAO – United Nations, Chile, Venezuela. Mr. Neira is a member of the “International Review Committee” for “Genome Canada Strategic Research Investment Portfolio”, Canada.
Since 1986, he has worked in Genetics and Genetic Improvement of aquatic species, especially salmonids, tilapias, oysters, and abalones. Mr. Neira has worked as a teacher of General Genetics in the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences since 1976. Since 1984, he has been in charge of the subject Quantitative Genetics for the Master in Animal Production program in the same Faculty, as well as in the programs of Master in Aquaculture Science and the Doctorate in Aquaculture in the University of Chile.
The most important research line he has followed is that of the genetics of quantitative features and genetic improvement of the coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch). He has made important contributions regarding design and development of genetic improvement programs for aquaculture species such as tilapias, oysters, and abalones.
Since 2008, Mr. Neira has worked as a Research and Development Manager for Aquainnovo, along with his now part-time academic career in the University of Chile.

Fisheries Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, with a certificate in Business Management in the Southern University of Chile; Master in Aquaculture from the Catholic University of the North.
He started working for Marine Harvest Chile in 1987, where he was trained in Scotland. After that he worked as Genetics and Reproduction Manager in Chile for the company.
In 1996 he joined the salmon division in Compañia Pesquera Camanchaca, where he worked as a Fresh Water Manager.
In 1998 he was appointed Genetics and Reproduction Manager for Pesquera Antares, subsidiary of AquaChile. Since 2008, Mr. Krieger has worked supporting the genetic programs for salmonids and tilapia for Aquainnovo.

Agronomist Engineer and Master in Aquaculture Science from the University of Chile. He is currently studying in the Ph.D. Program in Aquaculture imparted jointly by the University of Chile, the Catholic University of the North and the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
As a professional, he has 6 years of experience as a member of research projects related to genetic improvement of aquaculture species. These projects are developed by the University of Chile and Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP).
Since October 2007, Mr. Lhorente has worked as a Manager of the Aquaculture Research and Transfer Center (CITA) for Aquainnovo. He also participates as a geneticist as a consultant for genetic programs and database development.

Biochemist from the Southern University of Chile. He is currently studying in the Master in Genetics Program in the same university.
He has 2 years of participation in research projects at the Southern University of Chile, and 4 years of working experience in the private sector. He has worked mainly in the area of molecular diagnosis and applications, characterizing genomic regions in pathogens and salmonids.
He has worked as the Diagnostic Laboratory Manager in Aquainnovo S.A. since 2009.

Veterinarian graduated from the University Santo Tomás.
He started his professional career in 2001 in Biovac’s Diagnostic Laboratory, located in Aysén. He worked as a laboratory analyst. Since 2006, he has worked in the Diagnostic Laboratory of Aquagestión S.A. as an analyst in charge of the areas of Necropsy, Histopathology, Clinical Microbiology and Clinical Pathology.
In the year 2010 he joined Aquainnovo’s Diagnostic Laboratory Unit, where he was in charge of the areas of Anatomopathology, Clinic Microbiology and Histopathology. Since 2011 he has been in charge of the area of Technical Support in Fish Health.

Veterianarian from the University of Chile, Ph.D. in Agroforestry and Veterinarian Sciences from the University of Chile.
In 2004-2005 he made his thesis in the area of Molecular Biology in Teleosts (zebrafish) at the Biomedical Science Institute in the faculty of Medicine, University of Chile.
Between 2006 and 2010 he studied a Ph.D. in the area of Quantitative Genetics and Genomics in salmons at the Animal Genetic Improvement Unit of the Faculty of Veterinarian and Livestock Sciences. University of Chile, as well as in the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Department, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canadá.
He has been awarded scholarships and prizes by national and international institutions such as: CONICYT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (Spain), Emerging Leaders in the Americas (Canada), and Plant and Animal Genome Conference Organizer Comittee (USA).
Mr. Yáñez has taken upgrading courses, research stays and has participated in conferences in Brazil, Canada, Spain, Sweden, and the United States, among other countries.
Since 2006, he is a guest professor in subjects related to Animal Genetics and Production in the Veterinary medicine career in the University of Chile.
