GenDataSave is a software—developed by Aquainnovo—to administer databases of animal production genetics programs; it is a very useful tool created to operate without programming requirements
Databases created with the help of GenDataSave have a standard structure and may be used in any type of genetics programs. Tools provide flexibility to the user allowing him to modify, update and add tables without generating changes in the structure or integrity of the database. This configuration allows the system to enter additional data due to changes in the design or new technologies incorporation, such as genetic/molecular markers for MAS application or to determine traceabilities, which are important for the program.
According to the user’s needs, the program has options to customize and set up the data input mode and to ask questions to the system, whose results may be exported to the .csv or .txt format.
GenDataSave has incorporated the necessary applications that allow exporting data for genetic analysis – BLUP analysis – and accessing to programs in order to run them without the need for opening other systems:
