Aquainnovo’s Aquaculture Research and Transfer Center is located 360 kms. away from Puerto Montt, in the district of Lenca.

The experimental center has a 2.5-hectare surface and as of 2012 it is going to have multipurpose facilities to develop different types of research according to the aquaculture industry requirements, such as:

- Genetics

- Genomics

- Challenge against disease

- Nutrition

- Recirculation

- Vaccine Tests

In order to achieve these objectives our experimental center—unique in Latin America—counts with the best infrastructure, which includes:

- Flow-through and closed Hatchery.

- High technology water treatment system.

- High Standard in Biosecurity.

- Quarantine Room for fish and eggs.

- 156 tanks for experiments in 0,5 m3 and 7 m3 distributed along 4 independent rooms.

- Capacity to work with fresh water, seawater and mixed water.

- Temperature control from 5°C (41°F) to 28°C (82.4°F).

- Offices and facilities with room for 10 people.
